Tallman Truck Centres Expands into Hog Town

TORONTO – Tallman Truck Centres has completed its acquisition of Western Toronto International Trucks, Inc., giving Tallman nine full service International Truck Dealerships in Ontario.

“This acquisition will allow us to further execute our growth strategy of expanding our service network in Ontario. We are excited to represent International in Canada’s largest truck market, the Greater Toronto Area, and we look forward to servicing new and existing customers in this very important market,” said company president Kevin Tallman, adding that they would like to welcome all Western Toronto employees to Tallman.

The Cornwall based, family-run company has capitalized on the city’s growing logistics and distribution infrastructure, and with a Target Mart Distribution Centre coming into the Cornwall Business Park, Tallman expects their business to keep growing.

“Cornwall is growing as a supply chain hub for Central and Eastern Canada, and the trucks that service our DCs come from across Ontario,” said Kirk Tallman, general manager of Tallman Truck Centre in Cornwall. The acquisition of Western – re-named Tallman Truck Centre (Toronto) Limited – puts them in a good position to service and support trucking companies across Southern Ontario, he explained.
