Third Women with Drive Summit open for registration
OTTAWA, ON — Ladies, start your engines.
The 2017 Women with Drive Leadership Summit has officially opened for registration. Trucking HR Canada is set to host the third annual event on March 2, 2017 at the Sheraton Toronto Airport Hotel and Conference Centre.
The summit has emerged as a go-to event for anyone in the industry looking to learn more about the recruitment and retention of women in all facets of trucking. The event is part of the broader Women with Drive initiative, which has developed a variety of resources equipping employers with tools to support more women in the trucking industry.
“With women accounting for 48% of Canada’s labour force, the recruitment and retention of more women in trucking is a business issue fleets cannot overlook,” Angela Splinter, CEO of Trucking HR Canada, said in a statement.
Panel discussions include a focus on leadership, offering insights from females in the industry that are not only surviving, but thriving in their roles; the sharing of innovative recruitment and retention strategies being implemented by fleets across the country; and, an exciting, global panel bringing perspectives from leading women, drivers and other trailblazers hailing from Australia, Sweden, New Zealand and England.
