Today's Trucking Finalist for Online Publishing Awards

TORONTO — Excuse us while we pat ourselves on the back...

TodaysTrucking.com is a finalist in three Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPAs) categories: Best Overall Companion Website, Best Blog, and Best Video or Multimedia Feature.

Our Ultimate Test Drive: Volvo iShift was nominated for Best Video, and Peter Carter's "Blog and Grille" is in the running for Best Blog.

"The news certainly came as a welcome surprise," said Associate Editor Jason Rhyno, who works daily on todaystrucking.com. "The great thing about these awards is that we can share it as a team — it's not just one writer or one editor," he said.

However, Rhyno did point to Chief Technology Officer Martin Smith and Web Developer Li Li, "who are literally the lifeblood of our website."

And, said Rhyno, "Dan Robinson over in our new video department has already done some great things. I know for a fact he's just getting started, so this is encouraging.

"It's also good to see Peter's blog recognized. We look forward to reading it, and I know he has fun writing it — probably too much fun!"

The COPAs recognize Canada’s best editorial and design work in digital publications including websites, tablet editions, digital replicas and apps. Entries are reviewed by a panel of digital publishing experts from Canada and the U.S., and winners are selected in 15 categories across three divisions. (We're in the 'Blue' division.)
