Trailer Wizards Helps Students go ‘Beyond the Hurt’
MISSISSAUGA — For two days this past October, Trailer Wizards opened up its Mississauga office to students from WI Dick Middle School who were taking part in the Red Cross’ bullying prevention program, ‘Beyond the Hurt.’
Trailer Wizards not only provided space for the students, but also bought them lunch.
The workshop teaches students on how to deliver presentations to their peers on the importance of preventing bullying and harassment.
“One of the biggest pieces students will take away from the workshop is how a person who witnesses bullying has great potential to affect change,” David Carbell, Health and Physical Education teacher at WI Dick, explained. “Students relate more to someone close to their age or level delivering tools to prevent bullying, which is what makes this program so impactful.”
