MONTREAL — Transtex Composite has filed a claim for patent infringment against Ridge Corporation in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Transtex is alleging that Ridge Corp. has infringed on eight patents related to their trailer side skirt technology and are seeking injunctive relief against the infringement as well as enhanced damages.

“Intellectual property is something we take very seriously as we believe breakthrough innovations will occur only if IP rights properly protect significant investments in research and development,” said Patrick Beauger, executive vice-president at Transtex.

“Products infringing on our patents are being sold and we are taking action against such infringement.”
