Truck aftermarket comes to NA from Down Under

MELBOURNE, Australia — General Pneumatics of Australia is rolling out its contamination removal products to the North American heavy-duty truck aftermarket.

General Pneumatics designs products to eliminate moisture and contamination from air brake systems operating on severe service applications, such as refuse, municipal transit, off-highway, construction, military and others.

The company’s EXT-50 DumpMaster is a drain valve that electronically exhausts moisture and contamination every six minutes. Built with a large exhaust port, the DumpMaster can remove larger volumes of contamination, General Pneumatics says. According to the company, the valve can catch contaminants that the dessicant filter may miss, and it can also be disassembled while still installed for easy maintenance.

General Pneumatics’ air brake filtration products have been offered as original equipment options by such Australian truck manufacturers as Iveco, GM Isuzu, Volvo, Mack and Kenworth.
