MATTAWA, ON – Luc Stang, President and CEO of Gin-Cor Industries, was named “Entrepreneur of the Year” at the Annual Northern Ontario Business Awards (NOBA) Gala in Timmins, ON.
According to NOBA, the 60-employee company specializes in "upfitting" by customizing all brands of truck chassis’ to install dump boxes, snowplows, sanders, flatbeds, cranes and decking.
Established in 1978 by Robert Corriveau along with Philippe and Louis Gingras, Gin-Cor first opened up as a welding and fabrication shop in Mattawa, ON. After adding truck body sales to the company’s order lineup in 1986, Gingras and Corrivau soon began distributing Bibeau dump-body products.
In late 2002, Luc Stang, nephew of Bob Corriveau, purchased the company from its original owners, changing its name to “Gin-Cor Industries” and re-branded the company logo in 2005.
