CARLETON PLACE, ONT - - We’re not sure how he’s going to log this, but United Van Lines’ owner-operator Ron Pridmore was off–duty, just-foolin’ Monday evening when he turned his 2010 LoneStar into a ghoulish tourist attraction.
The veteran driver, who has a great reputation for taking pride in his work, says he’s been decorating his home on Halloween for about 20 years.
“I have always had scary sound effects and creatures about the house but this is the first time with the LoneStar,” he tells todaystrucking.com.
Pridmore handed out candy right at the rig’s door and says although he’s not sure how many visitors he had, he said quite a few passers-by stopped to take pictures.
“It was fun to see the smiles and how scared some of the little ones were,” Pridmore added.
(Check out the pics on Today's Trucking's Facebook page here. In addition to fixing up his house for special occasions, Pridmore is an eagle-eyed photographer who does drivers proud by making the most of his cross-continental journeys.)
