Truckers had second-busiest January on record
TORONTO- In 2015, truckers had the second-busiest January ever recorded by TransCore Link Logistics Canadian Freight Index.
But compared to 2014, load volumes dropped one percent month-over month and 18 percent year-over-year.
Where are the goods coming from?
• 73 percent of all loads came from across the border
• 23 percent came from within Canada
Where do the U.S. goods arrive?
• 61 percent in Ontario
• 19 percent in Western Canada
• 18 percent in Quebec
• Two percent in Atlantic Canada
Where do the intra-Canada loads originate?
• 49 percent from Western Canada
• 32 percent from Ontario
• 15 percent from Quebec
• Four percent from Atlantic Canada
Where are they unloaded?
• 49 percent in Western Canada
• 27 percent in Ontario
• 20 percent in Quebec
• Four percent in Atlantic Canada
