Truckload Carriers Association Names New President

Alexandria, VA- The Truckload Carriers Association (TCA) named Brad Bentley president, succeeding Chris Burruss, who resigned in late June after holding the position since 2004.

“Brad is a bright, creative, ‘roll up your sleeves and earn your stripes’ kind of guy who knows trucking’s issues, companies and people,” said Shepard Dunn, TCA chairman. “With his outstanding communication skills, there’s no doubt he will make a positive impact on TCA’s members, programs and sponsorships.”

Before stepping into his role as president, Bentley served as co-chairman of the Image and Communication Policy Committee and as a member of the Board of Directors and Recruitment and Retention Human Resources Committee. He helped formalize TCA’s partnership with Wreaths Across America and promoted the Highway Angel program.

“My career has been about creativity and collaboration and I’m a big networker so you’ll see me out there beating the streets,” Bentley said.

He has a journalism degree from the University of Alabama and has been working in the trucking industry since 1988. He worked in driver recruitment advertising sales and as a trucking publisher before becoming the editorial director for Randall-Reilly recruiting in 2008.
