UTILITY 4000A FLATBED
Using the same one-piece, plasma-cut main beam web as on the 2000A flatbed, Utility Trailer Manufacturing now offers the new 4000A. Called “the highest strength, lowest weight flatbed ever built by Utility,” it sports beam strength equal to the earlier trailer, including an 80,000-Ib distributed-load beam rating. The new design of the 4000A features an aluminum/steel composite that reduces tare weight by 400 lb. Its strength comes from the new hat-shaped main-beam top flange of 80,000-psi high-tensile steel. The re-engineered 4000A offers Hendrickson AANT 23,000-lb spread air-ride suspension that also helps to lower weight, and aluminum side rails with integral sliding-winch track for versatility and load security.
