VEHICLE INSPECTION SYSTEM
Using a handheld reader and tiny radio frequency identification (RFID) tags positioned around the vehicle, the Zonar electronic inspection system guides drivers through every step of the pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection process. It then produces a standardized and time-stamped report that meets regulations. The trip inspection report can also be transmitted electronically.
The RFID tags send data to the reader like location on the vehicle and a list of the components in that zone that must be inspected. The reader prompts drivers to check and record the condition of each of those components. It's a simple process – no defect demands a push of the green button, while a red button is pressed when defects are discovered.
When the driver is finished and puts the reader back on its mount in the cab, a report is sent to Zonar’s secure server. The driver cannot fail to complete the
inspection.
