What Are Halton Region’s Trucking Needs?

HALTON, ON — Halton Region is developing a Goods Movement Strategy so that the region and local municipalities can have the most efficient movement of goods, the Ontario Trucking Association reports.

The strategy will document the major challenges associated with goods movement in the Halton region, as well as the region’s role in accommodating the movement of goods in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). The study will also identify a strategic vision, supporting objectives and future actions.

The strategy’s developers made a survey to measure the needs of those in the area. Carriers located in the Halton Region and surrounding areas in the GTHA may offer input and comments by contacting jonathan.blackham@ontruck.org for a copy of the survey.
