"You've come a long way, ladies!" And now it's time to be acknowledged for it.
The Women in Trucking Association, along with support from Navistar, will recognize one hardworking woman with the 2012 award for Influential Woman in Trucking. This is the second year of the award.
Nominations are accepted until January, 31, and can be submitted here.
Nominations for the award should be for women who influence key decisions in a corporate, manufacturing, supplier, owner-operator, driver, sales or dealership setting.
Three finalists will be invited to attend the Truckload Carriers Association Conference in Kissimmee, FL, on March 5, with the winner announced after a panel discussion focusing on issues women face in the industry.
The award aims to honor women who have been instrumental in creating chance and providing leadership within the trucking industry.
(We'd like to see a Canadian woman take the prize!)
