Amazon experiments with delivery model

Posted: October 5, 2017

SEATTLE, WA – Amazon is experimenting with a free two-day delivery model that would see it taking over some roles currently handled by United Parcel Service and FedEx, Bloomberg is reporting.

Sources tell the news agency that the service – referred to by one source as Seller Flex — emerged two years ago in India, and is preparing for a national expansion in the U.S. Unnamed sources quoted by the news agency said a trial was launched in western states this year, with plans for the broader rollout in 2018.
