Canada Cartage and Praxair to fight trafficking

TORONTO, ON – Canada Cartage is partnering with Praxair to help in the fight to end human trafficking and the illegal sex trade.

The companies will be putting an educational program in place throughout the month of September to work with drivers and their communities across Canada to promote Truckers against Trafficking.

Truckers against Trafficking is a registered charity in the United States that says it exists to educate, equip, and mobilize members of the trucking industry to help combat trafficking in North America.

Canada Cartage says that as the eyes and ears of Canada’s highways, drivers are in a unique position to make a difference and help stop traffickers who seek to exploit the transportation system for their personal gain.

Truckers against Trafficking training has resulted in a significant increase of reports of possible trafficking to the national hotline from truck drivers, which has resulted in victim recoveries and criminal arrests.
