WOODSTOCK, ON – Trucking for a Cure is organizing a special fundraising event for September that aims to bring together women in the industry for a huge group photo with Pinky the famous breast cancer awareness truck.

The Saturday, Sept. 24 event at the Woodstock TA Travel Center (Exit 230 from Hwy. 401) will also host a show and shine and BBQ featuring countrified music from Brantford, Ontario’s Danny Thompson Band.

“Let’s get the biggest group of women in the trucking industry together for a picture with the Pinky truck,” said Trucking for a Cure in an announcement.

Prizes will be available at the event for the best pinked-out truck, the best pinked-out fashion, and more.

Since Trucking for a Cure first targeted breast cancer in 2010, the organization has raised more than $400,000 for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. In May 2016, Trucking for a Cure organizer Joanne Millen-Mackenzie won Today’s Trucking’s prestigous HighwayStar of the Year award for her outreach efforts, strong character and excellent driving record.
