ESI GREASE

Posted: August 1, 2014

Chevron Lubricants says the latest member of its product family, Delo Grease ESI, is an extended-service-interval grease engineered to reduce friction and wear in a wide variety of on- and off-road applications. Able to extend service intervals up to and beyond 30,000 miles, the new grease is claimed to deliver optimum protection for wheel bearings, steering drag links, kingpins, shackle pins, transmission cross-shaft spring pins, brake cam shafts, and fifth-wheel faceplates and pivots operating under high and low temperature conditions.

The grease is formulated with highly refined base stocks, says Chevron, with a lithium complex thickener, rust and oxidation inhibitors, and extreme pressure and tackiness additives. The new grease is fine in automatic centralized greasing systems and in wheel bearings operating near the high temperatures of disc brakes.

Other benefits include high load-carrying capacity, corrosion and wear protection, resistance to water washout, high-temperature stability, and good low-temperature pumpability.

It will be available across North American late in the second quarter.
