ITI system manages training

VANCOUVER, WA – Learning is a lifelong process at any fleet, and now Instructional Technologies Inc. (ITI) has developed a system that identifies what training is required and when.

The Sentix web-based Learning Management System (LMS) will reportedly integrate with any Fleet Management System to handle scheduling, tracking, verifying, and managing training efforts.

“Fleets are swimming in data, and that data should be very useful for triggering training,” explains Aaron Purvis, Chief Technology Officer, citing examples like onboarding for new hires, or training needed to renew a Transport Dangerous Goods endorsement. “Even CPAP machines are WiFi-connected right now, so these fleets know quite a bit.”

Safety and training departments can assign training on criteria such as hiring dates, training requirements, incidents, policies and regulations; track expiry dates for licences, medical certificates and endorsements; and share data between back office systems.

“Sentix helps fleets reduce liability by more quickly changing dangerous or expensive behavior, more easily meeting safety or compliance requirements, and more securely connecting  training to your fleet’s other systems,” he adds in a press release.

The training material itself can come in the form of the company’s Pro-Tread lessons, customized content developed along with ITI’s Pro-Service team, or be uploaded by the end user. ITI teams can also optimize the uploaded content depended on the way it will be delivered, such as through a smartphone.

Sentix is available for purchase beginning November 1.
