Need Pre-Paid Maintenance? No Problem Say Mack, Volvo

Posted: August 10, 2015

GREENSBORO, NC — Focusing on reducing the total cost of ownership for customers, Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks North America are now offering the option to purchase pre-paid preventive maintenance plans.

The Mack maintenance plans are available for all model year 2011 and newer trucks, powered by Mack MP7, MP8 or MP10 engines, while the Volvo maintenance plans cover all model years 2011 and newer, powered by Volvo D11, D13 or D16 engines.

Known as the Mack Premium Maintenance Plans and the Volvo Premium Maintenance Plans, respectively, they are pre-paid contracts, offering a variety of coverage.

Three different plans are available, offering a range of service from basic oil changes and 74-point inspections to more in-depth maintenance, including service for the exhaust after treatment system, transmission and chassis.

By purchasing a pre-paid maintenance plan, at any respective Mack or Volvo dealer in Canada and the U.S., customers can lock in today’s parts and labor rates, plus choose the duration of their maintenance plan, according to the companies.

Customers who purchase a Mack plan are able to schedule maintenance by contacting Mack OneCall, Mack Trucks’ around-the-clock service and support network. Customer maintenance can be scheduled and performed at any of the 460-plus Mack dealerships in the U.S. and Canada.

“We’ve created these plans with flexibility in mind, so customers can select a plan that best aligns with their business needs. No matter what application – normal duty, heavy haul or severe duty – we offer a plan that covers it,” said David Pardue, Mack vice president of aftermarket business development

Customers who purchase a Volvo Premium Maintenance Plan can schedule maintenance at any Volvo dealership in the U.S. and Canada through Volvo Action Service, the company’s staff of uptime experts that provide 24-hour support.

“Volvo is always looking for opportunities to help protect the customer’s investment,” said Magnus Gustafson, director of service contracts and workshop solutions. “By proactively focusing on service, we help keep the customer on the road by routinely placing the care of their truck in the hands of highly trained Volvo technicians.”

Mack Trucks and Volvo Trucks North American are part of Sweden’s Volvo Group.
