New Intermodal Service from U.S. to Canada Launched

Posted: January 5, 2016

ATLANTA, GA — Infinity Transportation Logistics LLC (ITL) recently added to its service offerings, providing expedited temperature-controlled domestic intermodal service to Toronto and Miami, FL from Washington State and Oregon.

The service departs from/returns to intermodal ramps in Spokane, WA, Portland, OR and Seattle, WA six days per week. It has a service radius of about 160 miles to and from intermodal ramps and can pick up and drop off product in many parts of Washington, Oregon and Idaho, according to the company.

Overall, ITL provides eastbound temperature-controlled door-to-door domestic intermodal service from Washington State and Oregon to the Midwest and East Coast.

The company says its door-to-door transit times are now only four to five days to and from the U.S. Midwest and just six to seven days to and from various destinations on the U.S. East Coast, which is nearly as fast as long-haul trucks.

“Because of the improved transit times, ITL has been seeing increased interest and usage from fresh produce shippers [of] apples, potatoes, pears, onions, etc.,” the company said in a news release.

ITL uses 53-ft refrigerated containers to also move other fresh produce, along with frozen foods and other perishables.
