OOIDA pushing against “bad” regs

Posted: March 27, 2017

GRAIN VALLEY, MO – The Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association (OOIDA) is launching a campaign to push back against bad trucking-related regulations.

The Knock Out Bad Regs initiative, launched during the Mid-America Trucking Show, is designed to educate and encourage members so they can identify and effectively reach regulators based in Washington, DC, the association says.

“We are concerned that the promise to reduce regulations will instead turn into an effort by policy makers in Washington, D.C., to add even more burdensome regulations,” said Todd Spencer, executive vice president. “Congress should be working to eliminate costly regulations like ELDs and speed limiters rather than adding even more rules and red tape.”
