LANORAIE, Que. – Whether they were on they dance floor or the 19th hole, for 160 participants in this year’s Express Mondor golf tournament and fundraising dinner the day was a hole in one.

This year marked the fifth for the yearly day on the links raising funds for the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation at Club de golf Berthier.

The foursomes on the course followed the event up with a dinner attended by 200 where a cheque for $25,000 was presented to the foundation. That amount brings the five-year total the company has raised to more than $130,000.

The foundation said it is grateful for the annual support provided through the tournament, which helps them to meet their goals of advocating for the well-being of those affected by the disease and their loved ones.

The funds raised will be used to promote breast health through education and awareness, as well as supporting research and those living with breast cancer. All the money will stay in Quebec.

This year, Billy Mondor, Josée Amiot, Sylvie Amiot, Guillaume Labrie and Denis Lépine constituted the organizing committee.

“Every year, we’re delighted by the resoundingly positive response of the Express Mondor many employees, partners and clients who participate in our fundraising event. We consider the tournament a unique opportunity to rally together to help against this disease. Moreover, as a sign of our commitment, one of our new trucks sports the Foundation’s colors and carries its message across North America,” said Mondor.

The new, bright pink Express Mondor truck adorned the pathway to the club house along with one in the company’s traditional bright blue for event attendees to have a look.
