Purolator driver narrowly escapes electrocution in NB

Posted: September 9, 2016 by Today's Trucking Staff

SAINT JOHN, NB – A New Brunswick driver is lucky to be alive after his trailer snagged on low-hanging wires Thursday, bringing down a flurry of live wires from a hydro pole on top of his Purolator transport truck, reports CBC News New Brunswick.

The driver then exited his vehicle as the electrical wires dangled around his truck, narrowly escaping electrocution.

The collision forced power to a nearby community college to be cut off, sending students home for the day.
