HOUSTON, TX – Waste Management, one of the world’s largest refuse collection companies, joined the Women In Trucking Association this week.

Rod Cross, a recruiting-sourcing specialist at Waste Management, says he will serve on the trucking advisory committee for the association, which aims to address obstacles that might keep women from a career behind the wheel.

“Waste Management is very excited to support the important efforts of the Women in Trucking Association,” said Cross. “A diverse workforce is critical to a healthy workforce, and we look forward to working with Women In Trucking as part of our ongoing effort to attract the best talent.”

With more than 4,000 corporate and individual members in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Australia, Sweden, South Africa, and New Zealand, Women In Trucking says it works to bring women into the trucking industry and support them in their careers.
