Truck used in suspected terror attack: Reports

STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN – A truck appears once again to have been used in a suspected terror attack, with four people killed and 15 injured after a hijacked beer truck drove through pedestrians and into a department store in Stockholm, Sweden, international media report.

The capital city was locked down with barricades and public transport was suspended. The central railway station has also been evacuated, with all trains to the capital canceled for the day.

Earlier this year, a truck slammed into a group of soldiers in Jerusalem, killing four and injuring 10. In late December, 12 were killed when a truck drove through a Christmas market in Germany. Last July, 86 people were killed and 434 injured when a hijacked truck drove through crowds celebrating Bastille Day in Nice, France.

Last month, a man drove through a crowd on London’s Westminster Bridge, killing three and injuring others before fatally stabbing a policeman.
