Wabash posts record Q1 sales of $448M

LAFAYETTE, IN – Semi-trailer producer Wabash National Corporation has announced that Q1 ’16 was the best financial quarter in the company’s history, having snagged net sales of $448 million.

Dick Giromini, Wabash president and CEO, stated, “First quarter results represent the best in our company’s history as we set first quarter records for sales, gross profit, income from operations and operating EBITDA.  Furthermore, we established new records for gross profit margin and operating income margin of 17.8% and 10.8%, respectively.”

Net income for the first quarter of 2016 was $27.5 million, or $0.42 per diluted share, compared to the first quarter 2015 net income of $10.5 million, or $0.15 per diluted share.
